Easingwold Players is an amateur drama organisation and is funded by its operational
activities and subscriptions.

Purpose of this Privacy Policy

Easingwold Players respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal
data. The purpose of this policy is to give you a clear explanation about how we collect and
use the information we collect from you directly and when we collect it as you use our
website.

We use your information in accordance with all applicable laws concerning the protection
of personal information.

We store personal information you give us either directly or when you use our website.

Sensitive personal data

Data Protection law recognises that certain categories of personal information are more
sensitive such as health information, race, religious beliefs and political opinions. We do not usually collect this type of information about our patrons unless there is a clear reason for
doing so. The exception is any health conditions we may need to be aware of at the time of
a production so that we can take appropriate action if necessary.

  1. Contract purposes When you make a purchase from us or make a donation to us, you are entering into a
    contract with us. In order to perform this contract we need to process and store your data.
    For example we may need to contact you by email or telephone in the case of cancellation
    of a show, or in the case of problems with your payment.

    In certain situations we collect and process your personal for purposes that are in our
    legitimate business interests. However we only do this if there is no overriding prejudice to
    you by using your personal information in this way. We describe below all situations where
    we may use this basis for processing.
  3. With your explicit consent
    For any situations where the two bases above are not appropriate, we will instead ask for your explicit consent before using your personal information in that specific situation.


Marketing Communications

We aim to communicate with you about the work that we do in ways that you find relevant,
timely and respectful. To do this we use data that we have stored about you.

We will specifically ask you for consent to communicate with you by email and post.

However from time to time we may use our legitimate organisational interest as the legal basis for communications by post and email this will be limited to a maximum of four times per year where we want to make you aware of our products and services.

You can change your preferences at any time by using the contact details at the end this policy to either object to the way we are processing your data or to unsubscribe from the
Easingwold Players.

Third parties
We will not disclose personal information to third parties unless required to do so by law.

We do not hold this information

We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it and we will
not sell your data. We will put in place appropriate safeguards (both in terms of our
procedures and the technology we use) to keep your personal information as secure as
possible. We will ensure that any third parties we use for processing your personal
information do the same.
We will not transfer, process or store your data anywhere that is outside of the European
Economic Area.

If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we
will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so or obtain your consent.

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we
collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting
