Easingwold’s 2025 panto, Robin Hood, written and directed by our very own Huan Quayle, was a roaring success, firmly cementing the show into the town’s annual calendar as a spectacle not to be missed. The four-show run in November finished with a sold-out matinée on Saturday afternoon.
After weeks of rehearsals, a frantic, but fantastic, set build and even an un-eventful dress rehearsal, the show went from strength to strength, with only a few minor missed lines or dodgy dance steps! The addition of some younger acting talent was welcome especially as they knew all their lines, song lyrics and dance steps. The older cast members didn’t do so bad either to be fair. This year’s show also marked the acting debut of Penelope the pigeon but sadly circumstances (the script) meant that this will be her last appearance.
The cast get the ‘glory’ but Boo, Pam, Howard, Ish, Elaine, Mike, Evan and all the front-of-house staff mustn’t be forgotten either.
Rehearsals for the 2026 show will begin in September and dates will be announced for read-throughs on this website.
